The Unique Industrial Jewelry Creations of Brooklyn-Based Artist,
Natalia Gomensoro

Jewelry designer Natalia Gomensoro is inspired by industrial engineering and architectural details. Like a city's architectural landmarks, each of her beautiful silver jewelry designs are built as small sculptures that engage the body as a stage for their display.
Natalia's rings, necklaces and earrings incorporate dynamic shapes, such as a series of connected circles or triangles, which are positioned to create a 3D-like effect. Her stunning jewelry also often involves movement and fluidity, like a ring with a propeller that spins.
Originally from Uruguay, Natalia now lives in Brooklyn, New York, and loves her neighborhood's friendly atmosphere. She apprenticed with a silver smith in Uruguay and learned to work with metal from scratch, as well as produce cast moldings. She also enjoys experimenting with other materials, such as stone, glass or cement.
"I put cement with silver and thought, hmmm ... that looks good together," she says.
Natalia has had a passion for jewelry ever since she played with (and sometimes lost) her mother's jewelry as a child. However, her mother was pleased when Natalia designed a replica of a silver apple pendant that, this time, her mother had lost.
