Dinner and an Aria at Manhattan’s Caffe Taci Restaurant

Every Friday and Saturday night at 9:30 pm, Caffe Taci magically melds delicious Italian wine and cuisine with opera performed by some of the city’s top talent. Located in the heart of New York City’s Greenwich Village, patrons will feel as if they have stepped into a private rehearsal room as gifted tenors and sopranos grace Taci’s tiny stage and sing arias, as well as a Broadway tune or two.

Opera Nights were born 10 years ago, when four vocal students from the Manhattan School of Music asked to use Taci’s piano to practice a difficult score after they had finished eating late one night. Enjoy such tasty dishes as the tagliotti with melted gorgonzola, minced arugula and fava beans, or raviolini with Swiss Chard and stuffed with fresh artichokes, as well as the superb people-watching (opera divas abound at the tables, too). Ah, Puccini...che bella notte!
