Roberts + Rogers: A Stunning New, Limited Edition
Cabernet Sauvignon

Roberts + Rogers vineyard introduces its first vintage – a 2004 Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon, bottled in late May of 2007. The soft and elegant Bordeaux-like wine has a rosy deep claret red color, with aromas of black cherry, blackberry and plum hints which are intertwined with subtle oak nuances.
Roberts + Rogers’ 17 acre Howell Mountain Vineyard is adjacent to Los Posadas Road and other well known wineries in California’s Napa Valley. The vineyard grows predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as some Cabernet Franc and Merlot for blending purposes. Howell Mountain’s idyllic location, which allows for longer sun exposure and warmer nights, results in a Cabernet Sauvignon that can ripen with good quality every year.
Barry Gnekow, the award-winning winemaker for Roberts + Rogers, counts among his credits overhauling the winemaking program at J. Lohr Vineyards and wines in Paso Robles, working with Hahn Estates to improve their wines and creating the first wines for Calistoga Cellars. He also likes to surf.
